The heat is on this August, sticking my head above the parapet to share some unpublished writing. There was an interview from 2021 with Nicholas Fox Weber, director of the Albers Foundation. The foundation released a new book on Josef & Anni Albers and I was asked to interview Nicholas the morning after the book launch in Paris. Sadly the interview never developed into anything substantial and so never ran. Around the same time, a few pieces stalled for whatever reason. Some of these included; She looks back over her shoulder about women painters, For fun; a piece on exhibitions from around the same time 2022, and Folklore which barely holds itself together with its lighthearted look at Ken Dodd & the Diddy Men, The Rainbow Theatre in North London, and a migrant community in Tokyo. At least September feels cooler even if the pace is far from slowing down. More to report soon.
